Rev. Fr. Joseph Mathoor Memorial Interschool Badminton Tournament 2024-25

                  The opening ceremony of Fr. Joseph Mathoor Memorial Inter-school Shuttle Badminton Tournament 2024-25, was hosted this year again at St. Joseph's Sr. Sec. school, NTPC, Dibiyapur. In accordance with the time honoured tradition at St. Joseph's, no event can be initiated without invoking the blessings of The Almighty. The ceremony was formerly inaugurated by the chief guest Shri Tanmoy Dutta, AGM(HR) NTPC Dibiyapur. The Lighting of the Ceremonial Lamp by all the dignitaries, followed soon after by all the participants solemnly taking the Oath of Allegiance, promising to abide by all the rules to ensure fair play throughout the tournament. 14 schools had participated in this competition in various groups, senior and junior categories.

The closing ceremony wad graced by the presence of Shri Jaydev Parida, CGM, NTPC Dibiyapur. He emphasized the importance of sports and encouraged all the students to take an active interest in sports and physical fitness.

The event was a great success. There is a saying, “practice makes a man perfect”. The same was seen in most of the players who participated. It was a wonderful display of talent. They took up the challenge and gave their best when it mattered the most.

Trophies and Certificates were awarded to the winners and appreciated the efforts of the players.
